Cure for the Common Core
Announcing a New Partnership Between Dr. Mike White of Educational Consulting Services and Dr. Tina McCoy of McCoy Educational Consulting, LLC!
Tina and Mike met through the professional social network LinkedIn (yes - it really does work). Both have a passion for helping schools to serve students better, and believe strongly that organizational improvement (improved student outcomes) can be best achieved through systemic focus and perseverance. Rather than 'piling on' layers of complexity that bog educators down, Mike and Tina assert that simplicity and prioritization are keys to reform efforts.
Tina was impressed with the work that Mike did with Bonnie Grimm, Lindsey Young and Bob Stark as outlined in their book Tap Dancing to Work: How a Small Group of Teachers Can Conquer the Common Core. Mike was looking for an experienced professional to partner with to meet the training demands of educators across the country who want and need to learn how to use the systems described in his book. Their partnership is a natural outgrowth of their interests and desire to share strategies that can truly help schools systems meet the challenge of the Common Core without losing the joy of teaching.
Tap Dancing To Work will provide all of your school system's teachers facilitation practices and data driven-dialog protocols that will lead your school/district to success. Each teacher will explore the seven qualities of high-performing teams and learn ways to apply strategies for encouraging your teams to adopt those qualities.
Tina and Mike look forward to a long and productive partnership that will help schools across the country and beyond.
